BeMiryam is a grief-stricken recluse who lives alone in her Iranian village. It is only after the arrival of a young girl, Sadaf, a newcomer to the village, that the older woman can begin to confront the grief and trauma of losing her daughter to the long history and cultural silence of dowry suicide. As their two lives begin to intertwine, BeMiryam tries to find a way to move forward in the face of this unspeakable tragedy.
